The Power of Positive Fitness: Maximizing Physical, Mental & Spiritual Health

The Power of Positive Fitness is a ''whole person'' fitness plan that will quickly give you the energy you need to live an inspired life. The self help, fitness, and spiritual communities have tended to segment a person's life into isolated parts. Not this book. This book is passionate about seeing every dimension of your life developed to its fullest--being physically, mentally, and spiritually fit and living a lifestyle that supports your life. I’m really happy to see John’s new book on Amazon.com. It’s fun to read his books because he makes the “technical” easy to understand for those of us not educated in his fields. And his suggestions are actually “do-able.” This is another practical message from someone very well versed in his areas of expertise — an easy, enjoyable read that can mobilze the reader into actions that will improve their lives now and for years to come.

Power of Positive Fitness IS Powerful!, September 13, 2011

John Rowley’s book, The Power of Positive Fitness will not only help you become a more fit and healthy person in body, but will also make you fit in mind and spirit.

To sum it up on John’s words, “God created us as body, mind and spirit. Our mind and spirit are housed in our body. When your body goes weak, your mind and spirit will surely follow”.

This book ties together not only John’s personal stories that are riveting and inspiring, but the stories of some of the most successful people in health, fitness and business and how being fit in mind, body and spirit has brought about success in their lives not just financially, but physically, relationally, mentally and spiritually which is what living an abundant life is all about.

John Rowley’s The Power of Positive Fitness is a book I highly recommend and is a must read.

This book may be of value to those of the Christian faith however those of us of a different faith will find the proselytizing wearing and misleading. Nothing in the description of the book identifies it as faith based which can cause its purchase by people who do not share the author’s philosophy. Had I known of the author’s bias I would not have purchased the book.

The workouts which comprise only the smallest portion of the book are recycled bodybuilder workouts which are not congruent with the current philosophy of full body and compound movements for general fitness. In my opinion this book is not worth it cost since it presents nothing applicable to the general population which is looking to lose weight and get fit. There are better books on the subject to be found on Amazon
