I'll give you three links, you can search for similar items in their mass and strength, always the big muscle group movements: bench press (1) (2) Squats (3) Deadlift (4) Chin / Do not row shoulder press (5) (this is not really great, but you still have to do, but not as much as the others, if you use your other warm-Delt) (6) Sprint (highly recommended) ^ _ ^ Good luck

Fitness Guru Sam’s New Blog Post Addresses The Need for Men to Do Yoga

Fitness Guru Sam's New Blog Post Addresses The Need for Men to Do Yoga

Chino Hills Boot Camp Yoga

Chino Hills, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2011

Fitness Guru Sam is the Chino Hills Boot Camp and Personal Training blog of Dr. Saman Bakhtiar, who over the years has helped thousands of family and friends right there in Chino/Chino Hills get in the best shape of their lives, and he wants to do the same for others.

According to Dr. Bakhtiar, the blog was designed to help Chino/Chino Hills residents lose weight, feel great, and add years to their lives.

"I absolutely love being a personal trainer, because it allows me to change lives," he said, and invited you to go read his most recent blog post, "Yoga and Men - They Do Mix and with Good

Reason http://www.fitnessgurusam.com/2011/10/31/yoga-and-men-they-do-mix-and-with-good-reason/".

According to the post, yoga is not the first type of exercise persons will see on many men's to do list. Looking at the foundation of this exercise regimen, though, the reader will clearly see that men have always made it a part of their health regimen.

Today, it claimed, modern man is turning to using yoga, too, since it provides some of the most satisfying results.

"For men who have yet to try it, considered the numerous benefits it can offer to daily life," wrote Dr. Bakhtiar, author the new book, "Total Body Transformation Secrets, which teaches everything about fitness.

Among the areas that the post tackles are:

     Stress Busting Power
Make Yoga Part of Your Fitness Program
    De-Compacting Yoga
    Flexibility Matters Too

"For many men," Dr. Bakhtiar argued, "age wears down flexibility. If climbing the stairs or standing up after sitting for a while causes you to grab at your back, it could be because your muscles are simply too tight."

Therefore, he noted that yoga provides a great way of helping to improve flexibility throughout the body.

Even for younger men, he said yoga is a good thing, because it allows them safely to play sports. He claimed it reduces the risk of developing injuries.

For those men looking for a way to get back into shape, or to extend more flexibility to the body, Dr. Bakhtiar conclude that yoga can be the tool that helps me accomplish just that.

Booze, the ideal post workout drink

Booze, the ideal post workout drink
muscle juice

After workout (1094 cal Max hr 95%, av hr 80%) drink creation which is so tasty I had to document it.

Some pomegranate concentrate (ooooh, say, 1-2 T)
Some red cherry juice (ooh, say, 1/2 c. or so)
Some vodka (oooh, say, a shot or two)
A lot of soda water (like a cup or 1.5 c.)
A lot of ice.

It's really super delish! And, actually, quite healthy! Why?

Well, firstly, alcohol has been shown to make the antioxidants in fruits more bioavailable to the body.

Pomegranate juice has been clinically proven to reduce high blood pressure when taken long term (2 oz/day) up to about 10 points. Also, good for reducing LDL cholesterol and maybe high blood triglyceride levels. (I'm not sure about that last part and am too hungry to look it up.)

Tart Cherry juice has been shown to reduce muscle fatigue, and speed muscle recovery after workouts. It totally works. Now, I'll get sore for a day rather than three days. You need a cup a day...at least, that's what I use since that's what was used in some study.

That's enough good stuff right there, but a drink (or two, if you're male) a day is also good for reducing LDL, tryglyceride levels and stress levels (ie. cortisol levels) all by itself!

The perfect post workout drink, and I didn't even mention the high potassium levels!

Promising Therapy Could Make Post Concussion Not Such a Headache for Guys like Carlo Colaiacovo

Promising Therapy Could Make Post Concussion Not Such a Headache for Guys like Carlo Colaiacovo

Guelph, Ontario, (PRWEB) October 17, 2006

Eric Lindros. Keith Primeau. Carlo Colaiacovo. Injury reserve lists and even retirement. Post Concussion effects can create headaches both literally and figuratively, especially in the world of hockey.

A young Cambridge, Ontario hockey prodigy was 17 at the time. Two weeks following a hockey fight, in which he received a shot to his left eye, the headaches started. The headaches didn't go away. He sat out games at first, then practices. He just couldn't manage the intensity without the headaches, dizziness or blurry vision getting the best of him. Soon school, social life and even watching television were not manageable.

Almost two years later after visits to specialists and therapy it was word of mouth that finally brought him to MMTR Health Inc. in Guelph, Ontario (http://www.mmtr.ca). "Based on what I had seen in the past, it was a fairly straight forward case," says Clinical Director and Neuromuscular Physiologist, Terry Moore.

"Post Concussion Syndrome, headaches, vertigo, nausea or even blurry vision can all have their roots in the interactions of muscle and nerves. This approach becomes quite apparent when you also consider how the injury happened," exclaims Moore. "In the instance of post concussion syndrome, there is some type of physical trauma to the head, which jars the brain. Beyond that however, you have the reaction of the postural muscles in the upper neck and base of the head, which immediately go into spasm. It's what becomes a chronic level of postural muscle spasm that affects the tissues and nerves producing the symptoms that can follow for months or sometimes years."

The therapy at MMTR Health Inc. (http://www.mmtr.ca) consists of 30 minutes of relaxing electromagnetic current to the postural muscles of the spine that would be involved in the injury or symptoms. They call this the "ENF" or Electro Neuromuscular Facilitator. "I called it a facilitator," says Moore, "because it allows the muscles to be stretched and worked in a way that is not otherwise possible without this first effect on the muscles. It's quite fascinating how the muscles, tissues and nerves interact. It wasn't until I applied my research in muscle blood flow in a therapeutic setting that we began to realize the relaxation effect that specific electromagnetic currents can have on muscle and nerves."

After two months of treatment at 2-3 times per week, this young man played two hours of road hockey and had remained headache free for three to four days after. Within the next month, he was back to watching some television and skating, practicing with his younger brother's hockey team. In the next six weeks, he was back on the ice more regularly, increasing his productivity at school and being able to enjoy movies with his friends.
