Well, I want my car to look like one of those muscle cars that have a very loud noise, but when its just sitting there is a rumbling noise, but it sounds like it is barely active is.Ik do not want to spend money on the headers or something, but do you cut the converter from the exhaust, etc., and make straight pipes be? you mean that noise that makes me scream in pain..same as the loud stereos..I have a ear sinus problem that during the summer low level noise is like taking your hands and slapping both ears at the same time.. that kind of noise?

First off, what kind of car you got.
Next, that deep sound is coming from the exhaust, but the barley running is because of the cam profile.
Cutting off the converter will void your emissions, making your car illegal.
If you have any welding experience, i would say go on ebay and find a used or a new cheap muffler of the make you want, and weld the rest of the system up.
TO get the barely running you are going to want to get a cam, but you don’t want to spend money.

in addition to the answers above, you need a V8 to make that sound, other engines can’t do it.
